Series B fundraising checklist
What do investors check before a Series B?
At this stage the bar is whether your finances would survive external scrutiny close to audit grade. Reconciliations, clean recognition, and a defensible model are assumed. What's tested now is sustainable earnings, decomposed margins, documented controls and processes, and clean consolidation. Gaps here don't just slow diligence; they raise doubt about whether the finance function can scale with the company.
A practical checklist of finance work for companies preparing for a Series B round, including B+ and later growth rounds. It is not extensive or tailored; every company and investor is different, so you may be asked much less, or much more, depending on the situation.
